In the villages where we work, children walk past shuttered schools to labour in fields. Vidya Jyoti Trust runs learning centres that bring them back to the classroom — for many, they are the first in their family to ever read and write.

A donation of ₹2,500 covers one child for an entire academic year: textbooks, a uniform, a warm mid-day meal, and a qualified teacher who won’t give up on them. Last year we kept 740 children in school. This year we want to reach 1,000.
